Description: John A. Kessler, M.D. is the Davee Professor of Stem Cell Biology and Chair of the Davee Department of Neurology, Director of the Feinberg Neuroscience Institute, and Director of the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine Stem Cell Institute. Prior to that, Dr. Kessler was the vice chairman of the Department of Neurology and Professor of Neurology and Neuroscience at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Kessler is currently the principal investigator on 4 NIH grants in the field of stem cell research. He is also the chairman of a scientific advisory panel for the March of Dimes and is an editor of several journals, and on the Board of Trustees of two hospitalsDr. Kessler received his A.B. degree from Princeton University and his M.D. from Cornell University Medical College.
